Greetings Dudes! Another week of work-work-work and hobbying has gone by. I've made some great, albeit slow, progress. It feels good to see some of it finally coming together and looking just as good as I imagined it.
All of the images I've used below are already spread through out the site but thought I'd capture some contsxt in this post.
Working with Rust Effects
As you can see from the Post image I had GREAT SUCCESS with the Dirty Down rust paint. However, it did take several trials to get it where I wanted it. I also had issues painting it on smaller areas (at first).
I think it's going to be quite challenging applying this theme to the entire Ork army but will see how it works with one unit first.
Quick tips: the surface area needs to be at least a middle tone and not black. Prepare the surface with some texture paint like Typhus Corrosion or liquid green stuff, apply splotchy brown paint here and there, and then dry brush the surface with a metallic color.
Ork Skin Trial
This was kind of a painful process. It was the first time trying out the zenithal technique (top down light-color dry brush, & then filled in with washes). I'm not going to go into detail on what I've done here because I'm still not satisfied with the outcome but I did at least get to try out more of the Villany Inks in the process.
Kit Bashing Trukk Boyz
I was concerned the Spell Crow swaps were not going to be to scale but after I added some extra bitz here and there it seemed to balance them out.
The big desire for the torso swap is that it's a shirtless Ork which is not common to the GW plastics. I also love that the entire Mob is going to be decked out in gasmasks.

A Gift from the Gods!
Delivered from the Amazon God, I have replaced my reading light with a deluxe manipulative double light bar. It was around 50 Euros and well worth it to save the strain on my eyes. I do have to remember to be careful as the light is quite bright and falsly represents the colors I'm painting. No this I am not being sponsored lol
Fragg Stikkbomba... Yaaaasssss!!!!
I picked up some platic rods of various sizes and decided to work a side quest while paint and glue was drying.
Plan for the day! (Green = Complete; Red = Incomplete)
Kit bash 2x more Trukk Boyz
Trial colors for Ork clothes (probably greys)
Rummage for Trukk Nob bitz
Rummage for War Trukk bitz
