Greetings! It has been a bit of a slow week. A sickness hit me in the middle of it and stopped all progress for a couple of days.
I was eventually able to put some paint on the test-models using Army Painter's Speed Paints. I spent around an hour or so on each model and they came out alright considering I normally spend around 5x hours per model using the normal method/paints. I think there is use in mixing the Speed Painting method and the older layering methods. No more trial models after this last one though.

Before getting on with the big Trukk Ork project, I still have this Escher-ganger to complete where I'm using both painting methods as described above. I had a bit of a set back in the Zenithal coat where the paint clotted due to the cold. She became a chalky mess that I had to recover... sadness.

The Gods blessed me with gifts... the Goddess Amazon delivered a couple of paint holders which needed to be put together. A fun task really, and they will work for now... until I am, one day, more permanently located. One more is on the way so between the three of them, all of my paints will have a place to rest.

I've been putting some thoughts into the leader of the Trukk Orks (referred to as a Nob) and I have a loose idea of how I want him to look. The conversion is probably going to take days but he'll def be the cherry part of the squad. (Note to self: there are 5x orks needing paint before starting work on this guy & then 5x more Orks which need to be built as well!)
I should probably engineer a new page just for the Orks so it's easier to track the progress which I'm talking about. Then I can throw down links for deeper dives... more to follow on that.
If I can complete the Escher-ganger in the next day or so, then I'm going to be completely set up for the 4x day holiday weekend coming up... 4x DAYS OF HOBBYING! I fully intend to have some serious progress to show off so stay tuned.
